Newspaper
At Seminole, Journalism gives students the opportunity to become the storytellers behind what’s happening on campus through the Seminole Times student newspaper.
This exciting, hands-on course introduces students to the fast-paced world of journalism, media, photography, writing, interviewing, digital storytelling, and publication design. Students learn how to report on school events, cover athletics and student life, write feature stories, create engaging content, and share the voices and experiences that make Seminole unique.
As part of the Seminole Times, students gain real-world experience working in a collaborative newsroom environment while developing valuable skills in communication, creativity, leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking. From breaking news and sports coverage to student features and campus events, students are on the front lines documenting the Seminole experience as it happens.
Students also work with professional industry tools and technology used in journalism and digital media while building skills that prepare them for future careers in communications, broadcasting, sports media, marketing, public relations, photography, and content creation.
Whether you enjoy writing, photography, social media, sports, design, or simply being involved on campus, Journalism gives students the opportunity to tell important stories, build real-world experience, and become part of the voice of Seminole High School through the Seminole Times.
